Data Privacy Statement

Welcome to Schöler GmbH!

Thank you for your interest in our Internet presence and our company.

We attach great importance to the protection of your data and the safeguarding of your privacy. In order to ensure that you have full knowledge of the collection and use of personal data on our web pages, please refer to the following information.

1. Anonymous Data Collection

Your visit to our web pages is logged. The basic information collected is the IP-address currently being used by your computer, the date and time, the browser type and operating system of your PC, together with the pages you have viewed. As a rule it is not possible for us to identify an individual person and this is also not our intention.

2. Collection and Processing of Personal Data

Personal data is only collected, if you have provided it yourself when subscribing to our newsletter, when leaving a comment or on contacting us by means of our contact form.

We store and use the data entered by you on the contact form, e.g. name, company, email and telephone, for the purpose of direct personal communication with you. Please note that the transmission of data is not encrypted and, therefore, no confidential information should be sent via the contact form.

You are required to inform us of your email address as part of the newsletter subscription process. This is used solely for the purpose of forwarding the newsletter to you. The newsletter contains information on company-related topics and products. Your email address is stored by us until you cancel the newsletter. A cancellation is possible at any time, using the link provided within the newsletter or by notifying us accordingly. With such cancellation you deny us the right to use your email address. We then delete your email address from our system immediately.

You have the possibility to leave comments on some of our web pages. You can enter your name, title and a comment. All entries in these fields are optional. After your comment has been released, it may be published together with your stated name and title. The comment will only be deleted if you send us a request to do so.

3. Cookies

Our website also uses so-called “cookies” which serve to make our Internet presence overall more user-friendly, more effective and more secure – for instance in order to accelerate the navigation on our platform. Moreover, cookies enable us to measure both the frequency at which pages are viewed and the general navigation. Cookies are small text files which are stored on your computer system. We notify you that some of these cookies are being transferred from our server onto your computer system, whereby it is mostly a question of so-called “session cookies” which are automatically deleted from your hard drive at the end of the browser session. Other cookies remain on your computer system and enable us to recognize your system on your next visit (so-called permanent cookies). You can, of course, refuse to accept cookies at any time, provided your browser allows this.

4. Use of Facebook Plug-ins

We have integrated so-called plug-ins from the social network facebook.com (hereinafter referred to as “Facebook“) into our Internet presence. Facebook is a company within the Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA.

Each time you visit a web page of our Internet presence on which such a plug-in has been installed, this plug-in allows your browser to load and optically display the plug-ins from the Facebook server. The Facebook server is thereby notified of the specific web page of our Internet presence you are currently visiting.

If you are a member of Facebook and are logged into Facebook during your visit to our Internet presence, Facebook recognises, from the information sent by the plug-in, which specific web page of our Internet presence you are currently visiting and assigns this to your personal user account on Facebook. If you then activate one of the plug-ins, by clicking the “Like” button, for example, or by entering a comment, this is sent to your personal user account on Facebook and stored there. Moreover, the information that you have visited our Internet presence is transmitted to Facebook, irrespective of whether you activate one of the plug-ins or not.

In order to prevent the transfer and storage of data regarding your person and your surfing behaviour via Facebook, you must log out of Facebook prior to visiting our Internet presence. You will find further information regarding the collection and usage of data by Facebook in Facebook’s privacy policy, together with details on your rights in this respect and the setting options for the protection of your personal privacy.

5. Use of Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files which are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of this website (including your IP address) are transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google will use this information to analyse your usage of the website, to compile reports on website activities for the website operator and to provide further services related to usage of the website and the Internet. Google will also transfer this information to third parties where appropriate, if this is prescribed by law or if third parties are contracted by Google to process this data. Your IP address will not be associated with any other Google data under any circumstances.

You can prevent the installation of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser software. We would like to point out, however, that in such case you are unable to use all the functions of this website in their entirety. By using this website you agree that Google may process your collected personal data, in the manner and for the purpose described above. The collection and storage of data can be revoked at any time, with future effect. You will find our contact address for such revocation in our imprint. Alternatively, you can use the Google Analytics deactivation add-on (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de), if it is available for your browser.

We would like to point out that this website uses Google Analytics with the IP anonymisation extension and IP addresses are, therefore, only processed in a shortened form in order to eliminate direct reference to an individual person.

6. Use of the Google “+1” button

We use the “+1” button of the Google+ (Google Plus) social network from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California, 94043 USA, (hereinafter referred to as “Google”), on our website.

With each visit to a web page of our Internet presence, which has been provided with a “+1” button, this “+1”-button prompts your browser to load and optically display the Google-Server “+1” button. The Google server is thereby notified of which specific web page on our Internet presence you are currently visiting. Google records your browsing history by showing a “+1” button for a length of up to two weeks, for the purpose of system maintenance and error correction. No further evaluation of your visit to a web page with a “+1” button on our Internet presence will occur.

If you click the “+1” button whilst you are logged into Google+ (Google Plus), Google records, via your Google profile, information about the URL recommended by you, your IP address and other browser-related information, so that your “+1” recommendation can be stored and made publicly available. Your “+1” recommendations can be displayed as tips, together with your profile name and your photo, on Google services such as search results or your Google profile (as “+1” tab in your  Google profile) or elsewhere on websites and advertisements on the Internet.

You will find the Google Data Protection Policy regarding “+1” button, with further information on the collection, transfer and use of data by Google, your rights in this regard and the possibilities for the setting of your profile at the following Internet address: https://www.google.com/intl/de/+/policy/+1button.html

7. Use of Youtube

We use the YouTube provider for the embedding of videos. Youtube is part of Google Inc., based in San Bruno/California, USA. As in the case of most websites, YouTube uses cookies to collect information on the people who view the videos. YouTube uses cookies, amongst other things, to compile reliable video statistics, to prevent fraud and to improve user-friendliness. Further details regarding the use of cookies at YouTube are available in the Youtube Data Protection Policy Statement at: http://www.youtube.com/t/privacy_at_youtube

8. Use of Twitter Button

We use Twitter buttons on our website. These buttons are provided by Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. They can be recognised by terms such as "Twitter" or "Follow", together with a stylized blue bird symbol. These buttons make it possible to share an article or page of website content on Twitter or to follow news about the website operator. When a user accesses a web page of this internet presence which contains such a button, its browser establishes a direct connection to the Twitter servers. The content of the Twitter button is transmitted by Twitter directly to the user’s browser. Therefore, the website operator has no direct influence on the volume of data which Twitter collects by means of this plug-in and informs the users in accordance with the current state of knowledge. According to this knowledge, when the button is activated, the user‘s IP address, the URL of the relevant website, are transmitted but not used for purposes other than the display of the button. Further information in this regard can be found in the Twitter Data Protection Policy Statement at://twitter.com/privacy

9. Links to other Websites

We occasionally provide links to the websites of third parties. Although these third parties are carefully selected by us, we cannot assume any guarantee or liability for the correctness and completeness of the contents and the data security of the websites of third parties. This Data Privacy Statement does not apply to the linked websites of third parties.

10. Information disclosure Rights

In accordance with the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz) you have the right to information, free of charge, regarding stored personal data and also the right to a correction, blocking or deletion of such data.

11. Data Security

We secure our website and other systems, by means of technical and organisational measures, against loss, destruction, access to, alteration or distribution of your data by unauthorised persons.

12. Further Information and Contacts

Should you have further questions regarding the topic of data protection, please do not hesitate to contact us.
