Schoeler Americas, Inc. is seeking a Sales & Service Engineer in Charlotte, NC
Job Duties: Provide technical support of equipment via phone and email and in person at customer sites. Responsible for the installation of new specialty machines for the manufacture of heat exchangers and component parts and retrofit builds of existing equipment. Train operators on company’s equipment at customer sites to explain and demonstrate operation of production equipment and provide general maintenance instructions. Confer with customers regarding sales of machines, tools, spare parts and services. Compile quotes for machines, tools, spare parts and services. Maintain, create and improve customer relations with calls and emails. Understand customer needs and promote the sale of company products. Responsible for overseeing company’s operations. Provide technical support for company’s Machine und Tooling Sales Team. Responsible for administration of IT infrastructure. Responsible for working with government authorities, external professional services, as well as local suppliers. Travel required (about 30% of time, both domestic and international).
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic or Energy Engineering (or foreign equivalent) plus two (2) years of experience as a Sales, Process, or Electrical Engineer. The experience must include two (2) years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment and one (1) year of experience in the following: process engineering, troubleshooting and maintenance of heat exchanger manufacturing machines, products, and equipment including: tube mills for thin walled aluminum tubes and tube machines; verifying tube quality with burst pressure tester, microscope and mold; servicing/rebuilding cut off unit; fin mills for corrugated, louvered, aluminum fins, including, adjustments for fins out of spec; core builder machines for radiator core, including programing for new models; crimping cells for plastic radiator tanks; leak testing machines (compressed air); Industrial Nocolok Braze furnace including running temperature logger and interpreting results and adjusting temperature profiles; Industrial PLC’s, including Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley 500 & 5000; using Multi-Meters ,Oscilloscopes, and refractometers; troubleshooting on powered down or live cabinet; Voltages, Resistance, Amps, Ohms, Continuity, Relays, Contactors, Timers, Transformers, Servo Drives, Servo Motors, Proximity sensors, Optical sensors, Linear drives, Light curtains and E-Stops; and writing work instructions for and training operators on, equipment and procedures.
